EXCELLENT EDUCATOR!!!

My teaching and classroom management style is very authoritative. I like to set clear and concise classroom rules and expectations. Teachers should take time to set rules in a visible place for students, review them daily, and have consequences when the rules are not followed. However, students will be acknowledged for doing the right thing through classroom recognition or a prize. Students should have a set routine each day. This will allow them to know and understand what to expect with the classroom. If the routine has to be changed, this is explained ahead of time and students are guided into the transition. This will alleviate discipline problems.

My greatest enjoyment in teaching is when a student ‘discovers’ their ability to overcome their negative self belief. I guide students through their learning process with gentle encouragement and patience. In this process I use a variety of teaching methods, the selection of which depends upon the learning style of the student. In response to your recently advertised job position, I would like to share with you my experiences working in the related field. I have over five years experience working for a non-profit, child caring institute for DFCS and DJJ children. I have worked directly with the children in managing behaviors and I have worked indirectly in creating individualized treatment plans, assessments, and behavior modifications.
