I started teaching professionally in Tampa, Florida in 1992. I continued to teach in the Florida Public Schools until 1999 before I returned to school to earn my Master's. Now, I teach English to Adults at Wallace Community College, which I have been doing since 2003. I love what I do. When I got my Master's in 2005, I was able to conduct classroom research which enabled me to reach a deeper level in the principles of both linguistics and the science of learning. In 2008, I published my first book. I currently write a monthly article for the "MundoLatino" newspaper. Occasionally, I do contract work as a proofreader. I graduated with a Bachelor's in English from Troy University Dothan in December 2009. Since I opted for a Bachelor's in English rather than a Bachelor's in Secondary English Education, I took more writing and literature classes. In all of my English Literature classes, I had numerous writing assignments that helped me learn how to write. I graduated from a private college in Jackson, Ms.where I majored in English . I have four children of my own. For the last 10 years, I worked as a Subsitute Teacher and as a Reading Tutor while my children were in school.I taught low income poverty first grade students with reading disabilities for one year.
