Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I can tutor in American Sign Language for a deaf/hh student in school or I can provide sign language instruction.

Six years spent interpreting at the high school level, three years at the middle school level and presently serving my second year interpreting for students in elementary school. I am also experienced in interpreting for after school clubs, sports and other extra-curricular activities and a variety of visiting speakers and events. I am a currently a working civil engineer specializing in bridge design (steel and concrete structures). I received scores of 760 in Math on both the SAT I and II, and a score of 800 in Math on the GRE's. I have taken several high level calculus, engineering mathematics, and statistics classes at the University of Delaware, aside from receiving a 5 on both the Calculus and the Statistics AP Exams. I have tutored elementary students in the past, and was part of a 'teaching scientists' after school company briefly in college.
I believe in talking through problems using visual ideas and simplified concepts. I prefer teaching with graphics and concepts, and then relating them to formulas and equations. While I expect hard work from my students, I also have the patience to help them understand at their own pace.
