Success is Feasible

In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. I would help students organize their thoughts into a structured document, and on occasion I would help build their vocabulary with five words of the week. Currently, I work at the Muncie Children's Museum where I create programs for children to exercise their motor and critical thinking skills in the visual arts and music.

Writing is one of my top subjects! For three years I taught high school seniors in an Advanced Composition class where they were being "trained" in the specific paper styles that are found in college classes. I am well aware of the writing process and the different types of papers colleges and high school require for graduation.

I am a very hands-on learner, so I tend to try to make things as hands on or as real to life as possible.
Since graduating from Baptist Bible College in 2006, I have been teaching high school English in Indiana for six years now. I taught three years at Bethesda Christian School in Brownsburg, where I spanned English 9, 10, 11, Senior Speech, and Advanced Composition for seniors. In previous work evaluations my supervisor has described my teaching style as "Experiential". I have a passion to teach with example and hands on practial skills. I created a game in which to teach parents and children how to get rid of their "hang ups".
