A Little Bit About Me...

I worked for over twenty years as a dental assistant. I worked closley with the children and really liked it.I then decided to return to college to earn a teaching degree. While I was working and going to college, I also had a family. I was and am very involved with their activities. Therefore I also have been a Girl scout leader, a volleyball score keeper, a little league team mom,score book , a band booster,concession stand worker, a volunteer class reader, room mom, etc!

When I earned my BS in English, with a thirty credit business minor, I already had fifteen years experience working in a family run retail store. I have since worked a range of jobs including teaching business, computer and English classes. I also worked as a computer systems installer, service manager and office manager. A Little Bit About Me...

In my experience with teaching, I find that the best way to connect and convey the information is to provide aural, visual and experiential exposure to the material. Everyone does not learn at the same pace or through the same exposure to material. It is also important to be perceptive to the possibility of student frustration as this is almost always a road block that will arise and if not identified can lead to lower absorption of the material or complete lack of understanding and drive altogether.
