As the Director of Curriculum and Program Development as well as the lead instructor for two music schools, my background has seen me teaching about 70 students a week while implementing several programs that focus on the quality and administration of all academic programs in the school. These programs offer opportunities for students to focus on songwriting with a strong emphasis on theory and applied musical knowledge. I love teaching students of all ages. It is very satisfying to see their eyes light up when they realize they got it. One method i use is to teach the the music that they love and apply the theory and technique to it, and gradually introduce them to more challenging works. I can improvise at a moments notice to help get the lesson across, even if it means focusing on one task at a time. My goal is to make the learning experience as pleasant as possible.
