I have a strong background in both science and the humanities. I am a National Merit scholar and hold a BS in Molecular/Cellular Biology and a BA in English from the University of Arizona, as well as a Master of Education (Secondary) from Arizona State University. After earning my BS and BA, I spent three years teaching English as a second language in Japan before returning to the States, where I taught at the secondary level for two years while earning my Master's. Most of my classes have been lecture format, but the majority of my classes also consisted of a weekly lab component. In lab, I worked one-on-one with students and aided their learning in both the lecture material and hands-on laboratory materials.
I have a bachelor's and a master's degree in Biology. I was a full time college lecturer in Biology and Anatomy&Physiology from 2004 until 2008. This past year I returned to school to obtain an MD. I am currently a medical student and have completed medical school level anatomy, embryology, histology, biochemistry and neuroscience.
