I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I chose to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, so I could study many different fields, rather than focus on only one. When I was a student teacher, the "fault" my teaching supervisor found in me was that of doing "too much individiuaized and small group teaching" in my combined classroom of 1st and 2nd graders. He didn't think I could keep it up but I did and with good results. Helping a student to "make the connection", to "get it", to accomplish what he needs educationally is so important because sucess leads to more sucess.
