Hands on approaches mixed with worldly knowledge, and a very patient style.
Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. I also have an aunt who is mentally handicapped, and I love spending time with her she is a very giving person. They teach me and it is always a joy to work with them and give something back.

I have a bachelor's degree in computer science. This helped me out also in math, since the requirements for the degree required many math classes, including 3 calculus classes. I have tutored and helped students with math before that were a junior high to high school level. I also have lived in a foreign country where Spanish was the native language. I was a computer instructor for a year, teaching high school students Java, C#, Visual Basic, Web design and SQL.
I believe everything needs to be broken down into pieces. It makes tackling larger problems a lot easier. First, I start with definitions/terminology.
