Javascript is one of my top subjects! I've used Javascript ever since the initial release in 1996. I know the language intimately. I can help you practical choices about building a career around this language. This is my central focus and feel passionately that it should be the first language you learn, and will probably be where you spend 90% of your coding focus.

The institutions of higher education are changing rapidly, and I am equally excited about the opportunity to learn from my students and the fresh new perspective they bring. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science. This helped me out also in math, since the requirements for the degree required many math classes, including 3 calculus classes. I have tutored and helped students with math before that were a junior high to high school level. I also have lived in a foreign country where Spanish was the native language. I was a computer instructor for a year, teaching high school students Java, C#, Visual Basic, Web design and SQL.
I believe everything needs to be broken down into pieces. It makes tackling larger problems a lot easier. First, I start with definitions/terminology. This is a necessity to begin learning other concepts with any subject. Second, any rules, equations, procedures or the "how to" come into play.
