I am Russian. I speak, read and write in Russian fluently. I can speak, read and write in English too. I live in USA in state of Utah almost 15 years. I want to help others learn Russian. "Standard Russian" pronunciation, writing, and grammar. Any age group is welcome. Preferred teaching style is one on one. I would prefer the library, just because it is big and open. The library in Tooele is a great example. It has rooms that can be used. I would prefer tutoring no more than 10 students at a time. If I can get a copy of the lesson before hand, I can be prepared.
Most of the subjects I have selected I passed with an 85% or better. I also did some tutoring in high school for other students. If I didn't learn it, I am most likely to figure out what is going on. It helps to know before hand what the lesson and subject is, just so I can remember what it is and to be more prepared.

Experience throughout school, work and personal experience dealing with the mentally challenged and dyslexia. my best friend had a son who was dyslexic and also he had ADD and I got him to trust me in babysitting and I taught him various things. I taught him how to read and write he could not accomplish that on his own. He was 11 at the time and I think with kids you have to be creative to teach them and I am very creative. I also have an aunt who is mentally handicapped, and I love spending time with her she is a very giving person. They teach me and it is always a joy to work with them and give something back.

My comments on tutoring Homework Help : I did have troubles in school with homework and I will help those who are also struggling. I will teach them the things that I learned to help do homework.

Throughout high school, I had trouble trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I graduated. I took many classes that ranged from Weight Training to Biology. I took many Art classes in which I excelled at. I then took some Computer Technology classes and I loved it. So I figured I would put the two together and took Graphic Design classes. I loved it. I am very competent in using all sorts of Graphic Design programs. I got my first guitar around 8 years ago and just picked it up and learned it. I have been learning ever since. I personally, have taught many people the basics of guitar and gave them the tools to excel in music.

My favorite thing about teaching math is watching those students who once believed they were incapable of doing math become successful in mathematics. I love working with students, particularly at the secondary level, and believe that math is something to get excited about. I firmly believe that students should be guided on a path of discovery when learning math and they should explore where different math ideas came from and why they work. Students should also be given ample practice in order to master their skills, but not blindly following algorithms.
