A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Hope College in 2008 with my Bachelors in Social Work. My senior year internship was working within the Grand Rapids Public Schools teaching life skills and abstinence to both high school and middle school students. I then became a Youth Treatment Specialist at Wedgwood Christian Services. In my first year at Wedgwood, I had the opportunity to work as an education specialist within the on-campus school where I was with students through all of their classes for one day a week. I have had plenty of experience working with teens in individual as well as group settings in my different employment opportunities. I am currently working on my MA in Counseling through Liberty University.

I really enjoy teaching and using a variety of educational methods to reach students. Some students respond much better to one-on-one teaching methods than they do in a larger class environment. I have had many successful tutoring experiences in the past with a variety of students (even those classified as having learning disabilities).
I currently work and teach at the International School of Tegucigalpa. I am a high school world history, psychology and comparative government. I have also taught economics at the high school level. I have tutored students in Language Arts at the high school and middle school letters. I am also literate in Spanish.
