I have ten years of experience tutoring at both the K-12 and the college levels. I also have experience adapting to the needs of students with various learning styles and learning disabilities. As a recent college graduate, the stress, confusion, and (ultimately) joy involved in the attempt to master new subjects are fresh in my memory. While nothing can replace experience, I believe that being young provides me with an edge over those older than me when it comes to connecting with students. I attended Oakland University and earned a BS in Biology in 2008. Biology and chemistry fascinate me in many ways; however, for teaching purposes, i focus mainly on the academic part of these subjects. I was a member of the Oakland University Academic Skills Center, where i tutored biology, human physiology, general and organic chemistry, statistics and mathematics.
