I have ten years of experience tutoring at both the K-12 and the college levels. I also have experience adapting to the needs of students with various learning styles and learning disabilities. I have eight years of experience as a college history instructor, 3 years as a rater for advance placement history, and I will be receiving my Ph.D. in history in 2016. I am experienced in US and World History. Furthermore, I have taught college honors writing and writing intensive history. As a recent college graduate, the stress, confusion, and (ultimately) joy involved in the attempt to master new subjects are fresh in my memory. While nothing can replace experience, I believe that being young provides me with an edge over those older than me when it comes to connecting with students. I have tutored a wide range of students, ranging from an at-risk 5th grader to high school algebra students, to college sophomores. A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Oakland University and earned a BS in Biology in 2008. Biology and chemistry fascinate me in many ways; however, for teaching purposes, i focus mainly on the academic part of these subjects. I was a member of the Oakland University Academic Skills Center, where i tutored biology, human physiology, general and organic chemistry, statistics and mathematics. Also i was a chemistry supplemental instructor for Organic Chemistry 1 and 2. My experience as a tutor opened up my eyes to many different types of learners, some are visual, some are auditory, and some are both.
