A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, I've witnessed students struggling to understand concepts and began tutoring in order to help them. In addition to the courses I've taken for my environmental studies and political science majors, I've also taken courses in economics and engineering. I've tutored high school students and college students, and while I'm not certain what my SAT score was, I know my ACT score was a 31. In addition to tutoring, I've also had extensive leadership experience. I have been through the Core Leadership Program, the Advanced Leadership Program (both of which were offered through CUGOLD at the CU), and was a Coordinator for the Core Leadership Program.

My teaching style revolves around the specific learning needs of students because each person not only learns differently but has specific strengths and weakness. As teachers it is our job to meet the needs of all learners. I do not believe in presently material in one way, or one way all the time.
I am a graduate of both the University of Colorado and Adams State College. I hold a Master's degree in Secondary Education as well as a Initial Teacher's license. I have experience as a volunteer tutor in social studies and math, a paid tutor in reading, a student teacher, and as a substitute for the last year and a half.
