I have four years experience as an Associate Instructor of Political Science and Political Philosophy at the college level. In this capacity I frequently tutored students individually, helping them to grasp complicated concepts. Many students struggled more with the basics of term paper writing than the material itself. I was able to help them improve their academic writing skills significantly. Students learn better when they see the relevance of the material they are studying to their own lives. Throughout my college career, I have worked in many different fields. The field that has given me the most satisfaction is tutoring. For the past year, I have been tutoring high school and college students in Chemistry. I have also tutored students in Biology and Algebra. I am currently pursuing my Masters at IUPUI. I notice that many high school instructors do not teach the basics of science. I believe it is important to cover the basics of the periodic table and elements for one to enjoy Chemistry.
