I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. As an education major at Berea College, I volunteered my services as a tutor three nights a week in addition to my student teaching and education courses. I was also a Pre-Kindergarten teacher during the summer terms while I was in college. I am certified to teach all subjects grades K-5. I have my masters degree in Reading and Literacy Instruction. For the past 10 years I have been teaching a wide variety of students ranging in age from their 80’s to 8. I obtained my BS in Information Technology which gives me a vast knowledge of computer applications, networking, and technical communications. I have also worked in a higher academic institution and have extensive knowledge of grammatical skills as well as different formats for composing research papers. I also possess a high level of patience and enthusiasm which I feels helps with the education process. I like to teach using a hands-on approach.
