A Little Bit About Me...

As a student in the Bachelor's Degree program at Brigham Young University, I had the opportunity during cohort to teach for one month in a 2nd grade classroom and one month in a 4th grade classroom. Then, I had the opportunity to complete my student teaching in both a 6th grade classroom and a 2nd grade classroom. In addition, I have had volunteer experience teaching ESL students English in an elementary school. Finally, I worked at Mountainland Head Start for eight months teaching preschool to children from low income families. Throughout my experience, I have developed the skills to adapt lessons for many IEP students with special needs. I believe in getting a good education. I was in the Unites States Navy for 16 years. I joined the military right out of high school. I received my Certificate in Management, Associate of Arts degree, and Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland College Park, Maryland while traveling and serving on active duty for my country. I have mentored and worked with many after school programs.
I am great at teaching youth and adults alike in getting the best education and setting goals.
