When I substitute teach, there is not always a need to have to teach something but I am very happy when that times comes. I like to believe that anyone can learn and understand anything. All it takes is a good teacher and effort. I like to work through a similar problem to the one the student is having a hard time with. Once he or she understands the similar problem, I then ask them to do their problem. If they still have trouble I refer back to the similar problem. Once they have correctly done their problem, we do another problem just like it.
