My career in education includes a wide range of experience. I began as a substitute teacher covering for classroom teachers ranging from preschool to the 12th grade. My innate teaching abilities became evident and I was highly sought after. Returning to college to earn my teaching certification, I gained experience in special education teaching summer school. I have always enjoyed teaching. I try to take into consideration the individual's learning style when teaching. Many kids learn best when a "hands on" approach is incorporated into the lecture or instruction. I am laid back, patient, have a good sense of humor, and have never had difficulties connecting with youth of all ages. Sometimes, I have used creative ways to teach. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught for 15 years. I began as a Preschool teacher and did that for four years. I also taught a a Charter School for at risk teens in NJ. I went overseas and taught in South Korea for four and half years, and am currently teaching in schools all over Northern Grafton County as the Education Coordinator for the Support center. I am a very dedicated teacher with a great deal of patience.

A Little Bit About Me...

Ever since I was in high school, I have always enjoyed working with children in a variety of situations. I helped out in a second grade classroom and enjoyed helping students understand their classwork. Even in college, I enjoyed helping my friends with math and writing. Last year, I taught a self-contained sixth grade classroom and this year, I taught a multi-age first and second grade classroom in the same school.
My creativity allows me to come up with different teaching ideas depending on the child's needs. Differentiated instruction has helped me to reach the needs of all learners and positive reinforcement has helped to motivate students to want to do well. I believe that the social aspect of a child's life is just as important as the academics. Once these needs are met, children are more apt to reach their fullest potential.
