I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and was a software engineer for over 25 years. In 2003, I was certified for Middle School Mathematics in Massachusetts. I have enjoyed being a substitute teacher over 200 days in various Middle and High Schools. I have worked for 20 years in the Awana, youth organization, teaching children from ages 3 through High School. I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens.
