After pursuing PhD at Dartmouth College, I have acquired years of process engineering and management experience at Intel Corporation and Biotronik Inc. I have five years real world engineering experience and have spent two years teaching science courses at University Buffalo and George Washington University as an instructor and a teaching assistant. At times, I taught 134 college students during my masters work at Buffalo, NY and 75 senior and middle level professionals and technicians from engineering to safety classes. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a B.S. in Computer Science. I also have 3 years as a substitute teacher as well as 3 in the semiconductor field. I come form a family of educators (mother, uncle, great aunt). I college, I tutored many of my friends in higher mathematics (one of which attained a PhD in Electrical Engineering recently). I also recently did some volunteer work in Michigan tutoring Somalian refugees in Mathematics.
I like working with children. I also enjoyed observing the wide variety of ways the human mind processes numbers and the mathematical process. My mathematical teaching technique is to patiently observe how a student works and adjust my style accordingly. Even though mathematics comes off to many people as a rigid discipline. A thousand ways exist to teach and illustrate the same concept.

I love teaching and relating to people. I know from personal experience that one good teacher can change the way a student views an entire subject. I am easy-going, friendly, and patient. I believe that all students have great potential and should be given every opportunity to fulfill it.
Having graduated from a liberal arts university, I know that being well-rounded is very important in life. I graduated from Whitworth with a BS in Math and minors in Spanish and Computer Science, so I know what it is like to learn complex subjects. I have tutored my peers along with students younger and older than myself, as a mathematician and a Spanish speaker. I led a Spanish Live Lab for two years and informally tutored math for four. Also, I have a great deal of grammatical knowledge from writing research papers in math and computer science and Spanish.
