As a Penn State graduate, I earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, assisting a paleoclimatology laboratory on campus for three years. I then enrolled at Bloomsburg University as a graduate student for a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction, and worked as a graduate assistant. I am a student from Rutgers University pursuing double major in Electrical and Computer Engineer. As an engineer, I have taken all the Calculus courses and also on top of that required Chemistry and Physics. I was awarded Most passionate about Mathematics award and also was named young scholar of new jersey.
As an Engineer in making I go through this process everyday where sometimes I have to learn and sometimes I have to teach. I work in a team, and try to make connection between material and some real life example. Just to show an example, the pythagorus theorem is really useful to work around were we make use of the hypotenuse to walk less from point a to b rather than going through the path.

A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is a difficult task. Everyone learns at a different pace and on their own level. Some students are quick learners and their teacher only needs to go over the lesson once; other students need to hear the subject content in a different form to understand it. Having said that, I can't explain my teaching style as a cut and dry formula. The skill level of each student and the way they process information will determine how I will present them with questions and explanations. I don't believe in teaching every student with the same teaching style; I believe in conforming to the skill level of the student so that at the end of the day, they learn the topic we set out to conquer.

I decided early on in my college experience that I wanted to major in mathematics. I worked hard for four years taking a variety of math classes that ended with my senior seminar project that showed how math can be used to project how deadly a disease can be. I earned my BS in Mathematics with a 3.9 GPA in the spring of 2009. I tutored younger college students for about a year in subjects like Calculus 1 and 2, Trigonometry, PreCalculus, and Algebra.
I love teaching other people and I really get a sense of satisfaction when they are able to understand what I have taught them. I tend to teach by using examples as I think it is easier for the student to understand a concept by seeing a visual picture or example. I am a patient teacher who works hard to make sure the student understands the concpet correctly.
