I’ve never bought into the argument that some kids just can’t do math. There is plenty of truth that some learn math much quicker and easier than others, but with a good work ethic and plenty of encouragement all kids are capable of learning these sciences. I feel the most important thing to do as a teacher is to stay positive, and try to somehow relate the math problems to real life situations. I first tutored my peers during high school in two subjects in which I excelled, physics and algebra. In undergrad the tables were turned as I was tutored in electro-magnetism (physics).
