I have worked as a commissioned portrait artist for 5 years. I have worked with a variety of clients and created an extensive portfolio that includes child portraits, dog portraits, architectural drawings, still-lifes, landscapes, and custom paintings for interior design purposes. For the past 4 summers, I have worked at an Art Camp, creating fun and interactive art lessons for girls ages 6-13. As an art instructor I successfully built upon each students studio art skills by incorporating basic drawing, painting and watercolor skills into daily activities and encouraging collaborative art amongst the students. I learned to develop therapeutic and educational art lessons that would be accommodate variety of students including those with disabilities.

My comments on tutoring Creative Arts : I have degrees in Art and Design. I would be able to help greatly with any general art project. I have also taught Introduction to Art at a University level.

I am extremely patient and clear. In my mind, there is no such thing as someone who cannot learn; it is my job to adjust my teaching style for multiple learning styles. Because I also have experience working with special needs clients as well as clients in rehabilitation, I am especially capable of dealing with more challenging learning situations. I am also take a rather lighthearted approach, and try to make the process as fun, yet as precise as possible, with markers for different points in the learning process. Most have really enjoyed my teaching approach as well.
