A Little Bit About Me...

From teaching preschoolers how to read to teaching high school students how to survive (and enjoy!) Algebra, I find it rewarding to discover how individual students learn and then help them to succeed in their efforts. I love kids and am able to relate to different age levels and needs. I understand that every child learns differently and has unique strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to be able to teach children fundamental concepts that translate into solving specific problems. For example, I teach phonics as a base for reading so that students are able to use the concepts they have learned to sound out new words.
