I aspire to be a tutor who is engaging with the student. Teaching AT the student is something I will not do. I will require my students to utilize their own critical thinking and writing to keep them actively engaged. Second, I will facilitate a stimulating, safe learning environment that will keep the students eager and comfortable about their participation. I view myself as being very personable and will encourage students to ask questions, because I know it can be difficult to ask sometimes. Lastly, I want to help students understand how education will prepare them for the future and assist them in planning their careers.
