I have worked with many children and adolescents, for the past 8 years, mentoring and tutoring. I enjoy working with our youth and feel that education is very important, especially in today's society. I try to be really patient because I know some subjects aren't very logical to some students.
I have been tutoring ever since elementary school. Since I was the only one that knew how to read, I had to assist in the others' learning of Phonetic sounds. I've also tutored fellow classmates in middle school, high school, and college. If I don't know how to approach a certain topic, I ask for the assistance of some of my former professors because they know I'm trying to help other students.

As a college graduate, I have strived for academic excellence. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with Financial Certification. During my college journey, I gained useful knowledge in Mathematics, History and English. While my exposure includes Level 3 Calculus and Statistics, my expertise is in College Algebra. As a recipient of an Associates Degree Summa Cum Laude; I have and more importantly my students have experienced success within and outside of the classroom. Twenty-one out of twenty-four 4th graders under my tutelage increased MAP scores by over 20 points on average when the objective was just for 8 points. My proficiency in instructing in reading, writing, English Language Arts, and comprehension led to me being entrusted with conducting an enrichment program at my school over 1,300 students that led to me receiving 2 awards of Excellence of Service Award and Paraprofessional of the Month. My PLT scores were in the top 15% with 190 out of 200 that led to a Recognition of Excellence Certificate indicating this proficiency.
