My comments on tutoring Study Skills : As an Educator in the school system, I teach my students how to properly study to gain the best results from their subject matter.

As a Paraprofessional-Educator, I enjoy working with children in the areas of reading. They come to me struggling and in need of more assistance that I feel I can provide. I enjoy decoding and comprehension for basic skill understanding. I have worked with children mentoring and tutoring them for the last 8 years.
In college, I strived to do my very best. Like many others I had to write papers on different topics and grammar and comprehension plays a big part in writing a good paper. It's better to get them speaking and writing and build their confidence than to just use rote memorization or drills. If I think the audio-lingual method will help a more advanced student, I suggest and practice this method with them.
