In College I would form groups to try and study for upcoming test or exams. Doing this it really helped me to learn what I was studying and how other people learn as well.
Patients is a amazing thing to have when trying to teach. Many students learn at a different pace and I feel that finding that pace for every student is important. If you try to cram or learn something to quickly it only become heartache and bad grades.

My teaching style is defined by my father, a teacher and coach. Successful in both the classroom and on the athletic field, he made sure that each student and athlete knew what was expected of them. What was expected of them was a mixture of hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and success. Success measured not necessarily by winning, for example, but by doing the best one can do with the gifts they had been given. A Little Bit About Me...

I began tutoring in high school then in college, I majored in mathematics to pursue a career in teaching. My career took another direction yet I continued my passion for teaching others through tutoring at local non-profits. Last year, I taught 8th grade math at a local public middle school. This past summer, I taught summer school to 3-5th graders in both math and English. This year, I continue teaching through tutoring at an elementary school.
