I have two years tutoring experience. In college, I tutored college students who struggled with math (algebra, trigonometry, calculus, etc). Other experience I have is derived from having taken and successfully passed (A) those courses I can tutor. I also help and tutor students who would like to learn how to play piano by ear, chords (major, minor, diminished, augmented), hear a song and determine chords, accompanying a singer, etc. I have experience in playing piano by ear for churches from almost 2 years. I began homeschooling my children in 1993. My older son was in 8th grade, my younger son was in 4th grade, my oldest daughter was in Kindergarten, and my twin daughters were 2 years old. My older son graduated with 2 bachelor degrees after spending a year in France as an English teacher in a high school. My younger son graduated with a double degree and a minor. Both are currently in grad school. My oldest daughter will be returning to school next year after a 2-year leave. My twin daughters will begin college in the fall. A Little Bit About Me...

During college, I changed my major several times, taking numerous classes for each one to determine what I wanted to do with my life. I experimented with Political Science for two years, in which I took classes in criminology, speech, and history. My next year of college was spent in English and Writing, where I focused on the obvious, as well as classes in psychology. The last few years of my college experience, where I ended up graduating with a Bachelor’s in Finance, were based around all of the science and math classes that Ohio Dominican University had to offer. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a very strong passion towards teaching. While many teachers tend to go towards adminstration afters 10 years of teaching, I have no desire to go that route. I want to remain teaching in this subject area because I find joy in math, and I want to help students find joy in math as well. I hope that my enthusiasm spills over into the classroom easily for my students, which is my strongest characteristic. I use a very traditional style of teaching math, however I like to use ways to help students remember processes in an easier manner.
