I have had intensive study at Case Western Reserve, mostly in chemistry (general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and physical chemistry), but I know many other subjects and I am proficient in them. I completed and earned my Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Mathematics from Marietta College in May 2012. I am currently attending John Carroll University to pursue my Masters degree. I tutored in high school and college for about 8 years. I am a mathematics major with a minor in history. I have taken upper level math courses all my life and I have helped out/participated with the college's mathematics department on occasion. How I was trained to tutor students was to have them explain the material to me, instead of giving blatant answers, or if we don't know we could review the textbook, the notes, or look it up in another resource. Not only does this give the student the correct and complete answer, it allows them to retain study skills which will be vital down the road in other courses and reinforces great study habits.
