I am a very laid back person, but also very disciplined when it comes to my instruction. If there is not a certain level of comfort and respect between the student and teacher, no learning will take place. Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs. As an engineering graduate, I know that hard work, dedication, and diligent study habits are often required to succeed in school. These qualities are some that if carried on throughout life will help to always achieve excellence. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA, which allowed me to walk with honors.
