My comments on tutoring Painting : I have taken 13 years of private art class, going through painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting. Oils, Acrylics, and Watercolors. (Oils and Acrylics are preferred).

I would say my teaching style is really focused on the student and what they need. In school I was an average student never getting lower than a C or higher than in an A. So I really want to focus on listening to the student, especially because they probably are not heard at school. I want to make each subject interesting to the student, whether that means going out and playing basketball or chess or candy or anything the student absolutely loves. I want to attach each subject to a good memory, I don't want to pressure them or push them to just memorize facts that I know they will probably forget after they are tested. From my own personal experience I want any student I tutor to turn around and actually enjoy learning about a subject they are having trouble with.

A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a senior in high school, and I tutor classmates and my younger brother age 11 and his friends. He is in the fifth grade, and it is really easy to tutor him. I work part time as a receptionist, and I am CPR and babysitting certified. I have been around children, and have had very high grades my whole life.

Since I have worked students with a wide variety of learning issues; I feel that I am well prepared to assess and deliver educational materials and instruction to any student. I understand that each student has his learning style and prefers specific modalities such as: games & puzzles, logical sequential, the arts, naturalistic, etc. Although those would not be the only modalities I would use to educate my students, I feel that I must acknowledge this and respond with a portion of the lessons directed at personal interest. Teaching children of all ages is fun and a good learning experience. Because each child is unique, and with that uniqueness, I treat them as an individual. I believe as an adult, we have to teach the children the right way in life so they can grow up knowing what is right from wrong. I believe, I can give them the tool that will enable them to grow and be a respectable person. I believe, I can make a different in their lives.
After ten years working as a nurse in different facilities, I have finally found what I really like to do most-teaching.I have an MBA in Business Administration which I hope one day will enable me to open and operate my own business.
