With my bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, I have developed a strong understanding and comprehension of math and science. I was an exceptionally driven high school student, taking the most difficult schedule my small private school would offer. My course work included AP calculus and AP US government, on both exams I received good marks. In college I studied a wide variety of classes in pursuit of a degree in the liberal arts. My main foci were history, foreign languages and English literature and grammar while maintaining a love for the sciences and mathematics. The hardest thing about teaching is determining how the individual student learns. I have found that all people learn differently so it is best to understand this process to make the teaching more effective. I like to challenge the individuals I tutor. I believe individuals perform best when they have to work hard for success. At the same time, I am easy-going, amiable and tend to get along with many different types of individuals.
I graduated from UW-Madison with a Finance degree and my MBA degree with an Investment Management focus at UW-Milwaukee in December of 2009. To me education is a way of life. My academic career has been driven by a thirst for knowledge. I have earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, during which my math, physics, biology, engineering (mechanical and electrical), and other science skills were cultivated. Afterward, I spent another year pursuing a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering, which further strengthened those skills.
