A Little Bit About Me...

During my last four years I have been given several opportunities to interact and educate students of all ages. Working with the Upward Bound Program I tutored high school students in various subjects. As a varsity basketball player I was frequently in charge of teaching the sport's fundamental skills necessary to younger children. While this kind of education differs from one received in the classroom, I believe that the objective is similar in that students are being taught essential elements of a subject. My bachelors degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry give me adequate knowledge on the material and my grammatical skills have been shaped by the numerous research papers and reports I have written.

I am a graduate from the University California Riverside majoring in biology. During the time I attended college I was employed as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for organic chemistry and concurrently I have been tutoring students in organic chemistry. The Supplemental Instruction program was designed to address classes with high fail and withdraw rates in order to improve ailing students and increase the grades of students who want to do better. My job was to hold 6 hours of sessions on a weekly basis with the subject matter catered to the lecture material. During my time teaching these sessions I have had a very positive response and have experienced excellent success.
