I thoroughly enjoy working and education children. Whether it is on the basketball court or in the classroom, teaching children how to succeed and learn has always been a passion of mine. While each student has his or her own way of learning new material, there are several components of teaching that can aide in this process. For example, constant encouragement, constructive feedback, and consistent enthusaism can have a tremendous impact on the ability of a student to learn. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Physical Science from California State University, Fresno. I received my first teaching experience as a substitute teacher. I next worked as a long-term substitute teacher for a year. I was then offered a full-time, permanent teaching position as a fourth grade elementary school teacher. This position lasted three years. Through my education at UCLA, I developed a solid foundation in math and science, while completing my BS in Bioengineering.
