The key to being a good teacher is being patient. I believe children learn best in a positive and stress-free environment. When a child does good on the work then I praise them and if they make a mistake then I explain to them the error in the homework. When I was a small child, I remember my teacher being patient and helping me along the way. I feel that although children learn in different ways and different paces that being patient with children is a universal and effective teaching style.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching and tutoring students of all ages for the last ten years. Having graduated with a BA in English, I have learned much about writing and the writing process that I believe could help students at all levels. I have tutored students in English, reading, science, social studies, math, music, and French.
It has been said that no one rises to low expectations. I believe that every child CAN learn, but that the process of teaching each child must vary depending on their learning style. A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored many years in Calif., but have not done so since arriving in Madison, TN. I have Canadian credentials, but the JD enabled me to quickly acquire a college position in Nashville. I taught English, which is my major from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. I know I am an excellent tutor, having taken several children from D's & F's to B's and A's.
