As an undergraduate student I was always in the top ten percentile of my math, chemistry and biology classes, and as a result, I tutored fellow college students in those respective subjects. After earning my bachelor degree in biology, I worked as an educator at the South Carolina Aquarium where I taught interactive classes to kindergarten, middle school and high school students. My 20+ year teaching career began in high school when I ran an after-school tutoring program. At the University of Georgia I tutored for the chemistry and biology departments. I earned a BS in Genetics and a Masters of Education. I taught biology, physical science, ecology, and human anatomy in 2 public high schools in Georgia. I was nominated Teacher of the Year and earned the Georgia Science Teacher of Promise Award. Since then I have tutored math, science, reading, and test prep for grades 5-12 and college. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently I am a organic chemistry lecturer at a local college but I have always been an advocate of education. I have a PhD in organic chemistry and a BS in chemistry. My background has allowed me to understand a range of topics from math and science to English. I have tutored students for over 11 years and I recently was a mentor to a high school student for two years.
I have loved to teach every since I was a young girl playing school with my younger siblings. Since that time I have observed several different teaching and learning styles. As an instructor, I try to incorporate several different teaching styles to accomodate the students in my class. I set high expectations for my students and equip them with the knowledge to reach their full potential. I believe education is the key to success and everyone should have equal access to the opportunities education can provide.
