Experienced Math Teacher

I have been teaching and tutoring in all levels of math for many years. I am a licensed teacher in the State of Indiana. I especially enjoy working with students one on one or in small groups because it is easy to see how they think and find out where they need the most help. I am now retired with over 30 years experience of teaching high school and college math.
I work well with students in a non threatening manner. It is my goal to make students feel at ease and comfortable in asking any questions they may have. I am able to explain mathematics in a variety of ways, so I can find out what works with any student. I emphasize the logic of math concepts in addition to just memorizing procedures.

Honor Student hoping to help students achieve success

Hello! My name is Kayla Bear. I am a first-year student at Purdue University; however, I am a sophomore according to my credit hours. I earned college credit in high school to get ahead of the game. I worked as a peer mentor throughout high school, helping students with their homework and helping prepare them for tests such as the SAT. I have taken a number of courses in various subjects, so I feel that I am able to help a wide range of students. I was editor of my high school yearbook last year, so I have a lot of experience training people in writing and grammar.
