I am currently a senior at Indiana Univeristy Kokomo. I will graduate in spring 2013 with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Leadership Studies as well as International Studies/Relations. I prefer the submersion approach. Listening to the language in movies, music, and also experiencing parts of the culture all help to learning a language. However, I also find vocabulary lists and verb conjugation charts helpful as well. Learning a language should be more fun than work though. I studied abroad in the northeast region of Brasil for a year studying the language and living with brasilians and learning their culture. I have travelled to many different parts of the country and have grasped a strong understanding of the country's culture as a whole while also finding the regional differences.

I have my masters degree in missions and evangelism from Asbury Seminary. I have been on several missions fields and have learned several languages fluently. Recently I was a missionary to Guatemala where I became fluent in Spanish within 3 months.
