A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching guitar lessons for a year now. I have just graduated from Colorado State University Pueblo with my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. In my education at CSU I have also acquired six credit hours in education classes and observed 60 hours in public schools.
In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. My specialty is music, but I love to teach in general because kids need good mentors. Each child is different so I use an individualized approach to my teaching styles. We all learn differently whether we are auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learners. I asses the student and provide the material/exercises necessary in order to create the best learning experience possible.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! My principle idea of teaching is that no one learns the same. Having tutored a wide variety of students taught me that I have to be flexible and adaptive in explaining the subject. This allows me to adapt to the student I am tutoring in order to help them achieve their desired goal in understanding the subject.
I began tutoring mathematics when I was still a student and this allows me to relate to the students. During the past three years I have tutored a wide range of mathematic subjects ranging from high school geometry and algebra to college differential equations.
