I graduated with an Elementary Teaching Degree from a small university in Michigan. Immediately, I went south to New Orleans to assist in the application of an after school program for inner city students. After this semester, I moved to Accra, Ghana in West Africa for three years. The first half-year, I was with a local school assisting in a classroom of 44 first graders. For the next two and a half years, I taught at an international school. I was based in junior high, teaching eighth grade Spanish, sixth and seventh grade reading and language arts, U.S. History, and World History.
