I love working with adolescents. I believe with all of my heart that each teen has the ability to accomplish great things with the proper motivation. I truly believe that children, teens as well as adults learn best by doing. I do not believe in teaching to a particular topic. I believe in teaching to the student and how the individual student learns. I want each one of my student's to succeed in their school environment as well as in their lives. Since January 2008, I have had the opportunity of tutoring at risk 9th, 10th, and 11th graders at Leeds High School's AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination). Peole dont lean in the same ways. I take an individual approach. I get to know the person, ther likes and dislikes, which gives me some knowledge on how to approach the lesson.
