A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all children learn differently. I, myself, am a very hands-on learner and I have expressed my learning styles in my teaching styles and it has been very receptive. I believe that as a teacher/tutor, one needs to find what the child is interested in and use that knowledge to adapt the curriculum to them.
I have earned a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Strength and Conditioning, which has given me an advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and other sciences, as well as medical terminology. I have taught a student athletic training class for 3 summers at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, WI. Also, my job as a certified athletic trainer allows me to be in constant contact with school-age children and athletes.

I have found that hands on learning is often the easiest to comprehend and can be an important teaching tool and when coupled with repetition and reinforcement of key points it can lead to a complete understanding of a complex subject.
