A Little Bit About Me...

I am very much a hands-on teacher, given that a lot of what I teach current needs to be done in order to fully comprehend the concepts being put to use. I am also a firm believer in fully explaining an idea, and constantly take multiple approaches to explain a concept so that it is understood fully by the student. As a person who has worked with students of various learning abilities both in lab and in the classroom, I find that it is very important to take a multi-pronged approach to teaching as all students are capable of learning if you present the information in the correct fashion.

I really enjoy tutoring. I have been told in the past by students I have tutored that I am able to bring the information to their level, helping them to more easily understand the subject at hand. I believe that anyone can learn and master any topic that they are faced with. With the right techniques and learning styles, I believe that any effective tutor can aid their student tremendously.

Learning and teaching is my passion. In high school it ws teachers with the same passion that made learning fun and encouraged me to achieve academic success. Most any subject can be made interesting if approached the right way. Mostly it is about patience and good respectful communication. I especially cherish working with young children who are usually starving for real knowlege, but are lacking the opportunity to engage their minds in a meaningful way.
