Lead the student to find the right answer himself or herself if possible.
I have done private tutoring of high school students in math from pre-algebra to calculus and in other subjects. I have also home schooled adopted daughters from lower grades to high school level, including teaching English as a second language. In graduate school I was a teaching assistant in an electric machinery laboratory for non-electrical engineering majors. I've been teaching public speaking at Iowa State for 8 years (Mostly public speaking, but also T.A.'ed Semantics & Gender Communications). I specialized in high anxiety speakers. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently working as a full time History Teacher at the PACE Center for girls. I have also had the pleasure of substituting for the Lee County School District during the last half of this school year. Since I was fairly new to the area, I decided this would be the best way to become more familiar with the schools throughout the district.
