Most of my adult life has been spent in the arena of teaching and mentoring. My undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biology, was largely a platform for the many other courses taken in order to teach mathematics and sciences more effectively. Even after I had moved professionally from teaching to military chaplaincy, much of my focus has been on mentoring others. I feel that I am an empathetic teacher yet I hold my students to high standards of accomplishment. A Little Bit About Me...

The best way I learned to study was to see the information visually in a repetitive manner and practice many problems. However, I know that children are different in the ways they study; some may need an auditory or hands on approach and not just visual. I believe all students can learn and apply the information well if given the time and appropriate style for them. Thus, I use patience and encouragement when tutoring.
