I have worked quite a lot with elementary school children, whether it be in or outside of work. I have done independent tutor work, mainly in the fields of Art and Language Arts. In the past I had a long-term job in which I was required to interact with young children, and I did so willingly. For two years in a row, I taught a Beginner's Guitar course for children and the feedback I received was overwhelmingly positive. I enjoy very much seeing things "click" with students, particularly young ones. It inspires me not only do teach well but also to always learn more myself.

I also have taught at Michigan State University's Champ program, which is where I tutored algebra and geometry to advanced high school students. As a musical instructor, I have taught in Marshall, East Lansing, and the Detroit Area in the areas of classical guitar, electric guitar, composition, and entry-level piano. Before getting a degree in engineering, I was a music major at Michigan State University.
My teaching style is very student friendly. I engage the student in working out easy examples, which provide an illustration of fundamentals. A Little Bit About Me...

I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math. Mr Learmont, my junior high school history teacher would frequently say, "Take care of these books and these books will take care of you." It was that inspiration that raised me to love learning and in turn teaching others.
Thomas Edison said, "Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. I am extremely persistant. Whatever it takes to get someone to understand a concept I will strive to discover it. Most of all the process of learning should be kept exciting so that the pupil is left yearning for the next lesson.
