Teaching has been an integral part of my life from graduate school to today. I taught English 1 and 2 as a graduate student at both WVU and Franciscan University of Steubenville. From 1991-1999, I was Director of Religious Education at two different churches. My responsibilites included developing programs and teaching students of all ages as well as adults. After assessing the individual's current knowledge of a particular subject matter, a review of the topic's basic rules would follow. The next procedure would involve passage reading and comprehension followed by implementation by putting "pen to paper". As with all cases of subject matter retention, repetition is the key to memory, closely accompanied by an understanding of the material and need for the application of the writing rules for student advancement.
